Earlier this month Staffordshire FA delivered an Adult-Only FA Referee Course at Stoke City’s Clayton Wood Training Ground, with a total of 12 referees qualifying with the intention of refereeing in open age leagues in Staffordshire. 
As a County FA we subsidised the course for any adult wishing to become a referee, reducing the course price by over 50%.

The course was attended by retiring players or current players who have become interested in refereeing; many of whom will now go out and referee in the leagues they once played in. Five of the new referees have already been out and gained experience refereeing games at the Stoke City Academy. 

Staffordshire FA would like to thank Stoke City for hosting the course and for providing the new referees with an opportunity to officiate fixtures.
