Staffordshire FA is host to a great network of support for those players with disabilities, providing opportunities to play football either as part of a structured Club within the Staffordshire Ability Counts League, through its Player Development Centre for excellence or more recreationally learning how to play through its ‘Aiming High’ Disability Programme.

At Staffordshire FA, we have a clear strategy that is incorporated into our project planning, organisation and delivery to develop football and increase participation for all sections of society, ensuring that football truly provides opportunities for all.

This section of the Staffordshire FA website outlines activity which aims to develop football provision with specific reference to social inclusion, community development, engagement with religious communities and minority ethnic groups.

There are a number of clubs across the County that provides opportunities specifically for players with a range of disabilities; these are known as Ability Counts Clubs. Staffordshire FA is committed to working with the Ability Counts Clubs, Staffordshire Ability Counts League, Schools, Further and Higher Education and associated disability organisations and key partners to ensure that all interested players have a positive experience within the game and a clear pathway for progression.
