LADIES OVER 30s & MUMS PLAY FOOTBALL RETURN FOR 2018/19 SEASON

LADIES OVER 30s & MUMS PLAY FOOTBALL RETURN FOR 2018/19 SEASON

The Staffordshire Ladies Over 30’s League will be returning for its third season this October. The league is designed for ladies returning to football or retiring from the traditional game. It allows ladies a fun, but competitive environment in a flexible format.

Games are played on a Thursday evening from Penkridge Leisure Centre, and each team will have one fixture every month. The league is tailored to fit around players’ already busy lifestyles and allows the ladies an opportunity to play recreational football on a 7v7 format.

In addition to our Ladies Over 30s League, following a successful season of Mums Play Football Centres; Staffordshire FA will be introducing a Mums Play Football League. Designed for beginners to the game, this league is open to all ladies over the age of 16. The league will run alongside the Ladies Over 30s league on a Thursday night at Penkridge Leisure Centre, in a fun and relaxed environment.

An opportunity for ladies to enjoy a kickabout in a 5v5 format, against other teams of beginners – the league is tailored to provide ladies the confidence to develop their football skills whilst also enjoying the social and wellbeing aspect of playing team sports.

Over 250 ladies have been involved in our recreational initiatives over the past two seasons, with plenty of opportunity for more groups to get involved.

There are still places available to enter both leagues; do you know a group of ladies over the age of 30? Think you’ve got what it takes to compete in our league?
Deadline for league entry is 10th September 2018 –Don’t miss out! Contact Bethan Woolley, bethan.woolley@staffordshirefa.com for more information.
