The eagerly anticipated Challenge Cup Final, featuring Mayfield FC and Pelsall Villa Colts, has unfortunately been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Originally scheduled for tonight (Monday 20th March) at Brocton's Silkmore Lane, this was the first of 13 thrilling Staffordshire Cup Finals.

A combination of relentless rain over the weekend and a forecasted downpour later today have rendered the pitch unplayable.

The Staffordshire FA will reschedule the fixture for a later date, to be confirmed.
