Autism Awareness Weekend 2023

We’re gearing up for the upcoming Autism Awareness Weekend on 1st & 2nd April 2023.

We’re gearing up for the upcoming Autism Awareness Weekend on 1st & 2nd April 2023.

In addition, the Staffordshire FA is encouraging all clubs and leagues to join in and support the campaign.

The goal of the weekend is to spread awareness and understanding of autism and provide support for individuals with autism in grassroots football in Staffordshire.

Clubs and leagues are being asked to participate in any way they can to help promote the key messages and raise awareness. By pledging your support for the awareness campaign, we will provide A5 flyers containing a QR code that links to an area of our website for more information on understanding autism and tips for supporting individuals with autism in football. We will also provide digital resources such as infographics that you can use on social media and distribute as you wish throughout your setting.

To get involved, simply complete the short form, and Staffordshire FA will be in touch with further details shortly. Please note that the deadline for form completion is Thursday 23rd March to enable distribution of flyers and digital resources.

The Staffordshire FA emphasises that autism awareness is something that should be encouraged all year round. So, even if you are unable to participate directly on this particular weekend, you can still complete the form to access the resources available and use them throughout the season or dedicate a specific date for yourself later in the year.

Let's all join hands with Staffordshire FA to spread awareness and create an inclusive environment for individuals with autism in grassroots football in Staffordshire.
