Senior Cup Semi Final Draw
The draw for the Senior Cup semi-finals, in partnership with Drayton Beaumont, has concluded.
First out of the hat was Leek Town who played their first fixture in round two, beating Sporting Khalsa 3-5 on penalties after the game finished 2-2. A 3-0 victory over Lichfield City in the quarter final was to follow, which now sets them up with a home tie against Kidsgrove Athletic FC or Stone Old Alleynians FC.
Kidsgrove put five past Uttoxeter Town in round one, before putting another five past Rocester FC in round two. They will face Stone Old Alleynians FC in the quarter final, who themselves have seen over Wolves Sporting 4-2, before a giant killing, with a 2-0 win of Hednesford Town FC.
The second semi-final will see Stafford Rangers FC or Walsall Wood FC host Stoke City.
Defending Champions Stafford Rangers first fixture was in round two, narrowly beating local rivals Stafford Town in a tense 1-0 win, and will need to secure a win vs Walsall Wood to reach the semi-final.
Walsall Wood themselves have secured their passage to the quarter final following a 1-0 win against Bilston in round one, before an impressive 1-1 draw with Rushall Olympic, ultimately running out 4-5 winners in a penalty shootout.
Stoke City's first fixture was in round two, leaving it late to beat Abbey Hulton United 4-1, with several late goals. They then sent Eccleshall FC crashing out of the competition with a resounding 3-0 win.
