Staffordshire FA are delighted to be supporting ‘Cash for Kids’

Staffordshire FA are delighted to be supporting ‘Cash for Kids’, a grant-giving charity helping children that need it the most across the UK and here in Staffordshire.

Cash for Kids’ mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. Cash for Kids work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.

With thousands of children across Staffordshire playing football every week, Staffordshire FA and Cash for Kids will be working together to see how we can support disadvantaged children and young people across Staffordshire via the support available, in addition to raising the profile locally of the great work that Cash for Kids do.

“We look forward to working with Mark and the team at Cash for Kids and will be communicating various initiatives that people across Staffordshire can get involved in over the coming weeks and months, including the upcoming Cash for Kids Day in May.”

Staffordshire-based radio station Signal 1 are also big supporters of Cash for Kids, and listeners to the station will hear regular updates on the great work that the charity are doing across Staffordshire over the coming weeks and beyond.

Mark Porter, Midlands Charity Manager, Cash for Kids: “Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. We believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.”

“We work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go. This is why I’m really looking forward to working with Gareth and the team at Staffordshire FA, engaging with their members to help make a difference locally.”

“One of this year’s campaign runs throughout May and the theme is ‘5k a Day in May’, culminating in the Cash for Kids Day on Friday 27th May, where we will all come together to celebrate the efforts of our supporters, and this is the day which will have lots of involvement from the Signal 1 presenters and lots will be going on throughout their social channels.”

“All money raised will be ring fenced for emergency grants, enabling us to respond to the continuing issues that are impacting families we support including fuel and food poverty. 100% of funds raised will be redistributed throughout the local area for local families that are choosing between eating or heating.”
