Staffordshire FA has pledged its support to Burton Albion Community Trust’s (BACT) fundraising trip to Ghana.
The eight night trip, which commences on Saturday 9th April, includes various volunteering experiences such as teaching, coaching, building and renovation which will all positively impact the lives of the local people.
As well as the volunteering, participants will experience what a beautiful country Ghana is with adventure days, an overnight stay at Keta Lagoon, local markets, drumming lessons, beach visits and a farewell celebration.
Staffordshire FA have sponsored a t-shirt for one of the volunteers who will be travelling to Ghana, Joe Kirkland.
Joe Kirkland said: “I’m really looking forward to be heading out to Ghana with Burton Albion FC, it’s something in which I’ve been wanting to do for a while and to now have the opportunity is fantastic.
“I'll be taking donations, doing a bit of teaching and hopefully some football coaching as well. Massive thanks to Staffordshire FA for their support.”
