Burton Albion FC to host FA Coaching Disabled Footballers Course in March

Coaches in Staffordshire currently working or set to work with disabled footballers now have a great opportunity to learn how to cater their sessions with an upcoming FA Coaching Disabled Footballers course.

Taking place at Burton Albion FC on Sunday 8 March, the course will give vital information on the needs and requirements of disabled players and how coaches can adapt their techniques to bring out their full potential.

This includes applying existing coaching skills in order to meet the needs of players with a range of impairments through a wide selection of sessions. The course will also explore communication skills, the importance of appropriate terminology, the identification of safety and medical conditions and also the usage of the Inclusion Spectrum.

All of these different skills will be highlighted over a six hour session, beginning at 9am, with a combination of theory and practical elements.

Learners are required to be over the age of 17 and also already possess a minimum of Level 1 in Coaching Football Award.
