Mental Wellbeing Football in Staffordshire
FEEDBACK REQUIRED FOR NEW MENTAL WELLBEING LEAGUE
Staffordshire FA has been working with clubs and local organisations to ensure we are doing all we can to raise awareness of mental health issues and the support available to people involved in grassroots football across Staffordshire.
We are keen to continue raising awareness across the county for all involved but also provide regular competition for those involved in mental wellbeing football sessions or teams.
Over the past few sessions, we have provided adhoc mental health competitions in the county, however there now seems to be interest to develop a more regular competition and we would like your help to shape a mental wellbeing league in Staffordshire.
We are aware that there are many clubs and organisations delivering mental wellbeing football sessions out there, however we are keen to find out exactly where and what activity is currently taking place so that we can signpost individuals but also provide support where available.

MENTAL HEALTH GUIDE
The FA has launched a mental health guide to support coaches and managers within adult football to raise the awareness of mental health, spotting the signs and signposting individuals to the support available out there.
