Parents In Sport Week

Parents in Sport Week

PARENTS IN SPORT WEEK RUNS FROM 7 TO 13 OCTOBER 2019

Staffordshire FA wish to promote the CPSU’s (NSPCC) Parents in Sport Week to raise awareness of how parents can support their children in sport.

We’d also like to direct parents to resources provided by the CPSU and The Football Association which help to make sport a safe and enjoyable experience for young people.

The CPSU has a wide range of information that parents can access by CLICKING HERE

The FA also has a range of links around Respect and the We Only Do Positive campaign, which can be accessed HERE

Another aim of this year’s week of action is to get parents to make the Sports Parents Promise, to encourage their child’s safe enjoyment of sport.

Making the promise allows parents to acknowledge the contribution they make to their child’s enjoyment of sport – and allow clubs, coaches and other sports organisations to really get parents on board and take an interest in their child’s sporting life.

The Promise is supported by helpful information parents need to keep their child safe in sport and support them the best way they can.
