Staffordshire FA is delighted to welcome three new members to the team – Brent Freeman, Hannah Bingham and Debbie Pope.
Brent (middle) has joined the Staffordshire FA team as a Football Participation Officer and is now lead for the male pathway, from mini-soccer through to youth and adult football.
His main focus will be to continue to sustain and develop the elements which make up the positive environment that encourages players into the game across all formats, as well as addressing the gaps so that the game is accessible for all in various guises.
The development of Futsal will play a big part of his work to educate, facilitate and support players as well as coaches across the county. Brent has a lot of ties to Staffordshire, having attended Burton & South Derbyshire College before university and has played in the Senior League Division One in the past. He coached, tutored and mentored for seven years at The FA before joining us, so can support in various different ways across the many different levels of the game.
Hannah (right) will be joining the team in the role of Football Participation Officer (Disability), primarily focused on providing individuals with a disability the opportunity to participate in football.
She will ensure that all ages and abilities are catered for in disability football across the county, and that each individual gets the chance to play at a level that suits them. Hannah has been involved in grassroots football for a number of years as both a player and coach in both England and Ireland. Prior to this role, Hannah was studying her Masters in Sport Policy, Management and International Development.
Debbie (left) will be joining the team in the role of Football Administrator, primarily focused on providing a high standard of customer service for league, club, players and team officials who need to engage with Staffs FA.
She will also assist in the preparation and collation of information for discipline matters and the updating of the WGS. Debbie has a background in grassroots football dating back over 15 years, having served as Team Secretary and Treasurer for a number of years for Stafford Rangers when her son was a player for them. She now follows his team as a spectator only. She is an avid LFC supporter - but don’t hold that against her!
