Walsall Senior Cup Semi Final Previews

Sporting Khalsa, Boldmere St Michaels, Sutton Coldfield Town and Lye Town make up the last four of this season’s Walsall Senior Cup, with a place in the final at Walsall FC’s Banks Stadium on Tuesday 7 May now up for grabs.

SPORTING KHALSA VS BOLDMERE ST MICHAELS (TUESDAY 2 APRIL)

Khalsa will be looking to secure a place in the final of the Walsall Senior Cup as they take on a Boldmere St Michaels team which has been in great cup form this season.

Having seen off Chasetown 2-0 before putting four past Walsall FC, The Mikes will be in confident mood heading into the semi-finals. Khalsa, meanwhile, had to overcome a spirited Paget Rangers team in round one, running out 3-2 winners, before dispatching Bilston Town in a comprehensive 3-0 victory and then earning a great result against defending champions Rushall Olympic, winning 4-3 on penalties after the game had finished 1-1.

SUTTON COLDFIELD TOWN VS LYE TOWN (TUESDAY 2 APRIL)

Sutton Coldfield Town look to be slight favourites heading into this semi final, especially given their brilliant run in the competition so far; seeing off Tividale 3-0 before putting another four past Heath Hayes in the quarter finals.

However, Lye Town will be a dangerous proposition having knocked out Stafford Rangers with a stunning 4-0 victory, before dispatching the RAF Men’s Representative team, who themselves had knocked out last season’s runners up, Walsall Wood.

Staffordshire FA would like to wish all four sides the very best of luck.
