11-aside football in a format which can fit in around busy lifestyles
Want to play 11-aside football but in a format you can fit around your busy lifestyle? Flexible football leagues are being developed across the country to provide opportunities for players who have dropped out of the game, struggle with regular weekend commitment, or just want to play 11-aside football with less time and fuss.
This flexible 11-aside league will be played across the summer months at Burton Albion’s Community Football Centre (3G pitch) next to the Pirelli Stadium. Below is an overview of the league and further information can be accessed via the links at the bottom of the page.
• Central venue 3G pitch
• 60-minute games
• Fortnightly fixtures, two games a month on average
• Eight-team league
• Cup & Shield competition
• FA qualified referees
• Player insurance policy in place
• Free Nike match ball for each team
• £45 per game (approximately £4 per player)
• Minimal administration for team organisers
A maximum of eight teams can be accommodated in the league and places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Teams must have a squad of players large enough to be able to fulfil all of their fixtures throughout the season. The league kicks-off on Friday 3 May 2019 and a welcome meeting for the teams will be taking place on Wednesday 3 April 2019.
