Paul Clowes Named Grassroots Coach Mentoring Award Winner

Staffordshire FA continued to hand out the 2019 FA and Mcdonald’s Grassroots Football Awards by presenting Paul Clowes of Leek Town with the Grassroots Coach Mentoring Award

He was surprised with the award by Staffordshire FA's Designated Safeguarding Officer, Jan Scott, at an SSE Wildcats training session on Wednesday, where he was mentoring.

Paul has won the award for his extensive support to grassroots coaches in the area, having been an FA Coach Mentor for five years. He has worked with a number of clubs across Staffordshire Moorlands and Stoke-On-Trent, whilst continuing to support teams at Leek Town for the past eight years.

Paul has gone above and beyond with his mentoring of coaches in the county, and is now stepping away from the role for the time being due to other commitments. However, he leaves a legacy behind with his son Aiden coaching with the Leek Town U7 side and staying involved within the club.

Congratulations to Paul on a richly deserved award.

Keep an eye on Staffordshire FA’s website and social media channels for any future announcements regarding the FA and Mcdonald’s Grassroots Football Awards.
