Institute Of Groundsmanship Running Pitch Management Course Across Staffordshire
Staffordshire FA is pleased to be teaming up with the Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG) to offer a one-day Level One Winter Pitch Management course across the county.
Following consultation at recent county FA groundsman workshops, it was highlighted that those involved in pitch maintenance desired more extensive knowledge of the role.
Thus, those individuals now have the opportunity to do just that, and gain an official IOG qualification, with a course set to run on Friday 30 August at Yarnfield Football Centre. The course will run between 9:30am to 4:00pm and will be priced at £50, with refreshments provided.
Attendees will be tutored by an industry expert on a variety of topics such as definition and assessment of surface, sequencing of work, aeration to mowing and line marking, and much more.
The course is ideal for volunteers, new employees or just as a refresher for established employees.
Places on the course are limited to a maximum of 12 people and will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis.
