STAFFORDSHIRE FA DELIVER ENGAGING PARENTS WORKSHOPS

Following on from this summer's Welcome To Football events, Staffordshire FA have continued to provide Clubs and Parents with support workshops in...

Most recently, the Staffordshire FA delivered a Parents in Football workshop with Brereton Social Juniors where over 20 parents were given advice and information on the role they play in their child's development within the grassroots game.

Topics covered included The FA's RESPECT programme and the Youth Development Review which all impact on a child's development and the experience they have in the game. It is vitally important that both parents and coaches have an understanding of how they can impact on a child's experience within grassroots football and have the knowledge on how they can create a positive environment for their child and their team.

Parents who attended the evening were surprised to learn how much they can influence their child's football experience; "It was an interesting insight to behind the scenes tonight, and a very enjoyable session"

"It was a good experience to realise just how much my support and behaviour as a parent can influence my child’s enjoyment of the game."
