Staffordshire FA is delighted to announce that the Staffordshire Ladies’ Over-30s League is to return for its third season, kicking off this October.
The league is specifically designed for ladies over the age of 30, who wish to enjoy football in a flexible environment. Fixtures will be held monthly at Penkridge Leisure Centre, with the first taking place on Thursday 4 October at 7.00pm.
With an ethos of: ‘Have Fun, Keep Fit, Make Friends’, the league allows ladies to play competitive football with little commitment, meaning it suits those with a busy lifestyle.
Six teams will be involved in this year’s league, with player registration open NOW! If you want to get involved and join a team, get in touch!
Full results and a league table will also be published on The FA’s Full-Time website available HERE.
“It’s amazing. Playing in the Ladies’ Over-30s League gets me out of the house, but works around my work and childcare commitments. It’s improved my fitness whilst giving me the opportunity to meet new people and enjoy a sport I previously felt excluded from.”
- Theresa Hilton, Wyrley Cougars
“I can’t believe I left it so long to start. I never thought I’d be playing football at my age and there are definitely more capable players than me, but I’m getting so much enjoyment from taking part.”
- Jackie, mother of three and grandmother of one
Bethan Wooley, Football Participation Officer (Inclusion) at Staffordshire FA, said: “The Ladies’ Over-30s League allows females the opportunity to participate in a structured format once a month. This casual commitment allows ladies the opportunity to play the game in a fun, yet competitive environment, but not impact on their already busy lifestyles.”
