The Colliers Arms FC – 6 v 2 – Bignall End FC (Reserves)

4 goals from the competition’s top goal scorer, Scott Sandland, helped The Colliers Arms FC through to a comfortable win against Bignall End FC…

It was clear we were going to see a high scoring game right from the 1st minute when the game sprung into life as The Colliers Arms took the lead before doubling up to 2-0 shortly afterwards.

Bignall End Reserves grabbed a goal back through Tom Moores to pile on the pressure, however Colliers added a 3rd in a short space of time. Tom Moores then doubled his tally for the match, seeing Bignall End Reserves again reduce the deficit to 1 goal shortly before half time.

Half Time Score: 3-2.

Both teams came out for the second half fired up, although again it was the Cheslyn Hay side who seized the early initiative and grabbed a 4th goal to restore their 2 goal margin.

Bignall End continued to battle hard until they conceded a penalty which was duly converted by Jay Holdcroft to give The Colliers Arms a 5-2 lead, an uncatchable target with such a short period of the game remaining. The Colliers Arms then added a 6th goal before the 90 minutes was out and were crowned 2014-15 Champions.

Full Time Score: 6-2.

We would like to congratulate them on their victory, and would like to thank all spectators for their attendance as well as Eccleshall FC who allowed us to host such a great final.
