Staffordshire FA are working closely with local partners & County FAs to develop women’s only disability provision within the county & region and provide more opportunities to get involved.

In Staffordshire we currently have 1 women’s only disability team, ‘Midland Soccer Academy Ladies’, who offer players aged 16+ with volunteering, playing and coaching experiences, along with a number of other disability teams in the county who have dispensation for females to play mixed adult football.  

Staffordshire FA, in partnership with Leicestershire FA & Birmingham FA, have developed a Female Football Series which focuses on females with disabilities & brings together the women’s teams from all 3 counties to provide a competitive playing opportunity. The series was handed the Women & Girls County FA recognition award in 2020 for the collaborative project and recognised the County FAs, clubs and community organisations effectively working together to develop this area of the game.
