Emergency First Aid

I attended the first aid course at St George's park last night and just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. The way Andy delivered the course made a potentially (though important) boring evening, an absolute delight. The content he delivered was really thorough but as I said, the way it was delivered kept me fully engaged to the subject.

Great course with very knowledgeable coach. Always get the point in a simple but informative way. Made you think and associate all topics within with your own team.

FA Level 2

I started the course in August and since then I have learnt a lot. I have learnt to give the players more ownership when in training sessions and the matches on the weekend. I let them choose what kind of training sessions they would like to do more often and try my best to keep them all happy. Also it has taught me a lot better on when to step in and coach and when not to. I feel as though my players respond to me a lot better now after this course because I have observed other coaches and their ways of managing their groups and picked up a couple of tips. Overall a brilliant course.

FA Level 2

Having signed up to the FA Level 2 Course back in August I was interested in finding out how to better myself as a coach and how it would affect the way I teach and run my team. Within a relative short space of time I have changed both my mind-set and the way I coach significantly. The Tutors on the course have covered a broad range of issues relevant to coaching & looking after the wellbeing of the players and also for me, the main things I look for now is how to embrace the four corner model and how that will affect the player overall. Time spent at St Georges Park has been run very professionally but at the same time everyone enjoys learning with a smile on their face and created an environment in which to learn. In summary I would recommend the course to my fellow coaches & my friends and colleagues within the football community.

FA Level 2

For me the course so far has changed the way I think about coaching and the role of a coach quite significantly. It's helped me to develop myself further by giving me the tools I need to further understand my players and their needs, so that I can give them the coaching I feel they need to develop not only as individual players, but also as a team. This in turn has had quite an impact on my players, some more than others, as they are being challenged to try new things both in training sessions and during match days. One of the biggest things I have taken from the course so far is giving some ownership to the players during training; I've found that this simple difference has a huge impact on the player’s attitudes and confidence levels. You can see that the players want to get more involved during sessions.”
