Staffordshire FA Pitch Maintenance Q&A Webinar

Staffordshire FA have organised an online Pitch Maintenance Question & Answer session

Monday 22 February 2021, 7pm – 8pm

As we look ahead to the spring and beyond in the hope that grassroots football will be able to resume in some capacity soon, Staffordshire FA have organised an online Pitch Maintenance Question & Answer session, on the evening of Monday 22 February 2021.
The webinar is an opportunity for volunteer groundspersons across Staffordshire to ask questions, seek further guidance on any queries they currently have, and to listen to the advice and guidance that is provided throughout the evening to a variety of questions raised.

The session will be hosted by Gareth Thomas and Kevin Staples from the Staffordshire FA, who will be joined by our two Staffordshire FA Pitch Advisors – Kevin Duffill, Regional Pitch Advisor at the Grounds Management Association, and Andy Jackson, Grounds Manager at Stoke City Football Club.

The aim of the session is to cover some of the frequently asked questions currently, as clubs continue to work around the challenges presented by Covid-19, as well as looking ahead to spring/summer renovations, and general ongoing pitch maintenance ambitions beyond that.

Questions in advance and throughout the evening:

We are inviting attendees to submit any questions they would like the panel to cover, either prior to the evening for us to collate and respond to during the session, or throughout the evening itself via the online chat box facility. To submit a question, please email gareth.thomas@staffordshirefa.com. We anticipate covering a wide variety of topics during the evening, including current maintenance work, spring/summer renovations, funding, machinery, products, specific site-related issues, and much more. It should hopefully prove to be a useful, informative and enjoyable session for all attendees.

To register your interest in joining the session:

The webinar will be hosted via the Microsoft Teams platform and a link to the session will be sent to all attendees who register their interest in advance. In order to register your interest in joining the session, please email: gareth.thomas@staffordshirefa.com

Attendees will not be expected to have their cameras on during the workshop, so please do not worry about that! The plan is for the session to be very informal and to encourage as many questions as possible, covering a wide variety of pitch maintenance topics.

A reminder that if you would like to submit any questions in advance for the panel to cover during the evening, we would certainly welcome and encourage that. Please submit any questions in advance to: gareth.thomas@staffordshirefa.com
