Staffordshire FA is thrilled to be continuing the growth of Futsal in the county by partnering with the Walsall Junior Youth Football League (WJYL) and Birmingham Futsal Club to offer a new Friday evening league.

Teams in the WJYL are encouraged to get involved in the league and the further opportunities being developed with Birmingham Futsal Club. All participating teams must be affiliated with a County FA in order to be eligible to play.

The league for each age group will run for a minimum of eight weeks and will cost £25 for a 40 minute fixture. There will be two kick off times a night, with one set for 6pm and the other around 7pm.

Primarily, it will be taking place at Oak Park Active Living Centre in Walsall Wood on Friday evenings, however should there be low numbers at an age group then some ages may be relocated to The Sportshall, Walsall Campus, Wolverhampton University, to ensure that there are enough teams to run a competition.

A compulsory induction evening for coaches of each team will be held on Friday 4 October at Oak Park, the time of which is to be confirmed, with the first week of Futsal scheduled for Friday 11 October.

We will also be offering a Futsal Level 1 coaching course - time and date to be confirmed - although this will not be a requirement to start playing.

The league has been supported by funding through the Football Foundation.
