Employability Sessions On Offer From Burton Albion Community Trust

Burton Albion Community Trust is currently offering a series of free employability sessions to anyone in Staffordshire through the ‘Building Better Opportunities Evolve’ campaign.

The campaign, designed for individuals over the age of 16 currently looking for work, aims to assist in the finding of employment or training opportunities. Offering four separate sessions based around a variety of topics, the hope is that those looking for employment will be better prepared ahead of any potential openings.

Firstly, there is an IT Employability drop-in session taking place every Monday and Wednesday at Burton Albion Community Hub, Casey Lane between 1pm to 3pm. These sessions are free and aim to assist in the job searching process by developing a good understanding of grammar, what makes a positive CV and how to complete online application forms.

There are also drop-in sessions taking place at Burton Library every Tuesday and Thursday between 9am and 12pm that relay crucial information regarding interview techniques and offer in-work support if required.

These sessions also run alongside the ‘Head For Goal’ and ‘Evolve U’ group schemes taking place at the Burton Albion Community Centre every Tuesday afternoon between 1pm-3pm.

The latter session again aims to assist individuals with their online job search with CV support and social engagement activities. Meanwhile, ‘Head For Goal’ intends to increase health and social skills by getting active.
