Welcome to Youth Football Events for new U7/U8 teams 

Staffordshire FA are pleased to announce the dates of their Welcome to Youth Football events for new U7 and U8 teams. This events are open to any Staffordshire FA member teams or teams playing within a Staffordshire FAmember League.

Sunday 22nd July – Walsall Campus, Wolves Uni

Sunday 5th August – Lichfield City FC

Sunday 19th August – Keele University

The event is an introduction for coaches, parents and players to the journey which they about to embark on in Youth Football. It will include a presentation from County FA staff around how to create a child centered environment, followed by development games where experienced FA Mentors are able to offer practical guidance to coaches.

Providing a child centered environment is key to ensuring children are taking part in safe, fun and engaging football, which will enable them to enjoy the game and improve.

The presentations will be underpinned by both the FA’s Safeguarding requirements for Youth football and the Respect Campaign which will have new guidance for teams playing in Staffordshire FA leagues.
