Staffordshire FA launch second Ladies Over 30's League

Last night the second of our Ladies Over 30’s Leagues kicked off at Penkridge Leisure Centre. Following the success of our first Ladies Over 30’s…

The first match of our Penkridge league finished Stone Dominoes Ladies 3- 4 Sporting Khalsa Women Vets, a competitive match which saw Stone Dominoes fight back but narrowly miss out from scoring the equaliser.

The league is formulated on the basis on fun, friends and fitness but by hosting the fixtures within a league this allows a competitive edge to allow the teams to work towards an end goal.  We now have 8 teams playing throughout the county, with our second league half way through their season, last nights fixture ended Burntwood Phoenix Ladies 1- 0 Pelsall Villa Colts Ladies FC.

The teams are made up of a variety of ex-players, mum's females currently playing within the Staffordshire Girls league and ladies wanting to try football for the very first time.

We are currently looking for more teams to play within the Staffordshire Ladies Over 30’s League for the new season (2017/18), if you are interested in starting a team, hosting a central venue or just for more information please contact Football Development Officer (Inclusion), Bethan Woolley on any of the following:
