The miserable weather conditions didn’t put a dampener on a well anticipated final as both sides arrived confident of repeating their previous success and lifting the trophy at the end of the night.

The game got off to a quick start, and it was Kidsgrove who took an early lead through a Jordan Johnson finish after just 11 minutes, giving them the early advantage. Rushall were quick to respond when Jack Duggan headed home from a corner on 19 minutes, levelling the scores at 1-1.

There was some good passages of play by both sides; however it was the Rushall side who took the lead on 24 minutes when Alex Reid fired home. Mitchell Tolley doubled their lead before the half time on 33 minutes when he struck a stunning 20 yard volley leaving the Kidsgrove goalkeeper no chance.

With Rushall heading out for the second half with a 2 goal advantage, both sides knew that the next goal in the match would be crucial and it was Rushall who delivered after just one minute when Alex Reid bagged his second goal of the game in the 46^th minute to give his side an unassailable lead.

Both teams worked hard to find the net again, however there were no further goals and Rushall were crowned County Champions as they lifted the trophy.
