Newcastle Town FC Community are absolutely delighted to announce that, in partnership with Staffordshire FA and The FA Tesco Skills Team, now have a 'Disability Football Centre' that will be based at Newcastle College.
Over the past few months, Gavin Appleby (Head Coach), Steve Wilmore (Development Manager) and Roger Whitehurst (Chairman) have been working closely with Staffordshire Football Association to develop opportunities for disability football within our club. It was agreed recently that Newcastle Town FC Community will now have a 'Disability Football Centre' at the club.
The football centre will take place on a Saturday morning at the college on the 3G facility under the Community part of the club. The FA Skills Team will also deliver sessions on a Tuesday evening from 6.00pm – 7.00pm at Newcastle College.
This is a fantastic development for the entire football club and will provide opportunity for all members of the community. Newcastle Town FC are hoping to compete in the Staffordshire Ability Counts League in 2010 / 11.
