Goalkeeper Level 1 Coaching Course

The FA Goalkeeping Coaching Award is a Level One course introduced as the latest qualification in the Goalkeeping Coaching Education structure.

How many teams provide specific coaching for their goalkeepers? Do keepers get a fair chance to play their best if they are not being coached keeping skills?

Why not give your goalkeepers an edge over the others in the league by having a specific goalkeeping coach to concentrate on the keepers at your club. On passing this course your goalkeeping coach will be equipped to:
Coach basic individual techniques
Understand how to develop and improve the goalkeepers technique
Plan and prepare progressive technical practices
Maintain health and safety of the players and other coaches
Maintain the high standards of conduct to promote Association Football.

Course Format
The practical aspect of the course will be run over 3 days. You must attend all sessions of the course to qualify for the assessment. The course is delivered by goalkeeping tutors appointed directly by the FA.

Pre-course Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid Emergency Aid certificate
Safeguarding Children certificate

Candidates who currently hold the above are asked to supply a copy of these when attending the first day. Candidates who do not yet hold these certificates should book these prior to starting the Level 1 Goalkeeping award. These are seperate courses and are not included in the cost of the goalkeeping award.
