I would like to take this opportunity to share with you the up to date position with regards to FACA, and highlight some of the problems that have occurred since FA Learning chose to move the contract for fulfilment and marketing from Coachwise to Goodform last August.
I am sure that you will have received comments or complaints from your local coach network, and I hope that by sharing the current position with you, we can now move towards a far brighter future for our Membership scheme.
Regular complaints over the last 6 months revolve around;
• Renewal of membership
• Lack of FACA application forms
• Non receipt of new membership card
• Adhoc receipt of Insight Coaching Journal
• Direct Debit being taken out twice or more
• Non receipt of New FACA welcome pack (Box with lanyard and mouse mat etc)
I am pleased to say that these numerous issues are now very close to being resolved, addressed etc, and would like to outline some timescales that we wish to share with you, in order that you may respond to local questions etc, and hopefully assist us in both apologising for the lack of service over the last 6 months, and also lack of information with regards to some of the issues. For your information, there are currently approximately 8500 members of FACA, of which around 3,500 members have received their brand new welcome pack, and membership card, and the others will all be distributed by the first week in March. Quality of Data transferred has been a major issue, therefore if you have coaches who have been asked to contact Goodform then please encourage them to do so, in order that we may fully update their data, and then issue their newly branded membership card. Unfortunately, we experienced many problems around both the production of the box, and then printing of the cards in batches, which inevitably incurred severe delays with distribution, hence what we hoped would be a Xmas gift for all, now in reality would be more apt if we included a cream egg, and made it an Easter present ! The next issue of Insight Journal will be delivered to doorsteps at the end of April / early May, meaning that many members will receive two issues over the course of a 6-8 week period. The next Issue will then be in Aug / Sept, and the final one for the year in December.
As soon as the welcome packs have all been sent, and membership applications upto date, then Goodform will begin their marketing activity in the knowledge that they can process new applications straight away of all coaches who meet the criteria, (including CRB disclosure number) and those who have to wait for their CRB will still be eligible to access Insight Live straight away. This will include contacting past members, and of course all newly qualified coaches.
FACA application forms are currently now being reprinted, and we anticipate that Goodform, FA Learning and County FA’s will all have supplies of these from March, in order that they can be given out whilst coaches attend your events.
